Monday Nov. 7, 6 p.m.: Queer/femme spirituality discussion & sharing group

Buddhist prayer flags at the lookout tower nea...Image via WikipediaOn Monday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. (and hopefully weekly thereafter), we will be having an informal and open-ended discussion and sharing group on queer and femme spirituality.  This is an interfaith and nonsectarian group and all femmes, queers and allies interested in this field of discussions are welcome.

Our vision is to think and rethink spirituality within the context of femme- and queer-positive social movement, and also to address the issue of spiritual, emotional, and mental safety in the Occupation community.

We will be meeting at the Guanyin Temple in Camp Beta South (which is actually a blue canopy with Tibetan prayer flags).  Usually around 6:30-7 p.m. Food Not Bombs will be around with vegan dinner, so we recommend that you bring a plate or a bowl.

The group will be facilitated by Sarah, the resident coordinator of the Interfaith Guild of Chaplains, who is also currently in graduate school majoring in feminist theology.
